#### Public holidays and shortened working days 2025

The table of public holidays is based on the [Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act](https://www.riigiteataja.ee/akt/898484?leiaKehtiv).

The calculation of working hours takes into account shortened working days in accordance with [Employment Contracts Act § 53](https://www.riigiteataja.ee/akt/13319829#para53) and the Public Holidays Act, which shortens the previous working day by three hours on the following holidays:

-   new year's day
-   Independence Day of the Republic of Estonia
-   victory day
-   christmas eve
